Have you caught any of the Made in America reports on ABC news? When it first aired, I was surprised by how little of what we purchase is made here in our country. It certainly opened my eyes to the impact of what I purchase on our economy. (I also set about the house looking at where everything was made! Much like that family featured on the first Made in America segment, my house would be near empty if non-USA made items were taken out!)
Since then, I’ve been very conscious of what I am buying and where it came from, even in the grocery store! And it doesn’t stop there. While researching materials for Bourgeois Baby products, I specifically wanted American made fabrics and notions. This was easier said than done, but was able to find suppliers that are located in the USA that also sell American made materials! Bourgeois Baby also likes to obtain supplies locally as well, and uses a New Hampshire based independent supplier as much as possible.
Continuing with this theme, all the products are made right in New Hampshire. Every bib, burp cloth, and products in development are designed, made, and tested here. We will continue to use American made and based materials where possible, and always make our products here as well.
