Current Nursery Trends

Whether you’re pregnant with your first or fifth baby, redecorating your nursery for your new family member is always exciting! If you’re stumped on how you can make a unique space for your little one that also fits in with your style, we have a few trends we’ve seen rise in the first half of 2016!

Pastels are back. Many might few pastels in nurseries as a timeless classic, but they were on the outs for some time! We’re excited to see these light and subtle
colors making a comeback because they sure look soft next to all the other kiddish features.

Wind, clouds, and stars. We’re not talking about Buzz Lightyear, but instead a more whimsical “our-heads-are-in-the-clouds” sort of design. There as been very simplistic designs with clouds and complex projects that incorporate murals of mountains and other beautiful landscapes.

Arrows and shapes. This southwest style incorporates items like dream catchers, animals, arrows, triangles, and other angular aspects that can be used for both a boy and a girl, and can incorporate those popular pastel colors.

Natural wood accents. Just as natural wood is coming back around in other areas of décor, the same can be said for nursery design! Instead of fully committing to a room full of pallets, nurseries call for accents of wood tones in shelving and small decorative items.

Luckily, if you’re looking to take these trends and apply them to other areas of your baby’s life, we offer newborn bibs that have many similar features and patterns you see in fashionable nurseries. We love finding new patterns to keep our customer’s stylish while our 3-layered construction of organic cotton, flannel, and waterproof PUL backing keeps the drool off their clothes.
